Edberg hits with Federer in Stockholm

Stefan Edberg and Roger Federer had a practice session together in Stockholm at the Kungliga Tennis Hallen, before the Swiss' quarter final against Stanislas Wawrinka.

The event was initially scheduled on the Centre court, but then held on a secondary court and shut door, according to the preferences of both players.

"It was a big moment for me. I’d never hit with him before. He’s the last hero that I hadn’t played with before," Federer said of the opportunity. "It was nice talking to him in the locker room yesterday. We started talking about hitting a few balls. He was in a suit and I didn’t even know if he had his gear or not..."

"Am I better than Borg? Better than my idol Edberg? I don't know, - said the former world number one - "but the debate is fun and I am proud to be one of the names in it."
