In the two seasons spent at Roger Federer's side, Stefan Edberg gained an undisputed reputation as tennis coach, showing that a more aggressive approach is still possible in today's tennis. Even though he didn't manage to lead the Swiss to his beloved 18th Major title, Stefan proved that attacking tennis is not dead as most of the modern coaches thought and some offeinsive solutions can puzzle the opponents' strategy if applied in the right way and at the right time.
Now that his partnership with Roger is over, Stefan will reasonably take some time off from the tour. But what do you think will happen next?
Some of the young players that were supposed to be soon top contenders are currently struggling to find their ways. At the same time, after many years of setback, Sweden is producing new tennis promises again.
Do you think that this scenario will, sooner or later, encourage Stefan Edberg to follow another player or his partnership with Federer will remain his only experience as tennis coach?
